Key Principles

  • Individual body profiles - safe and strong. 
    • Scrums are like dominos – once one falls it has a massive knock on effect. 
  • Hit at bullseye level (dartboard), not shoulders above or below hips.
  • Use big muscle groups to create stronger binds (not hands and fingers). 
  • All 16 feet in the ground on hit – we should be in the strongest position without having to readjust our feet.
  • Build pressure after the hit – don’t let up till the ball is cleared.
